Pew Research on mobile: African-Americans fastest growing segment of mobile users

A survey of more than 2,000 Americans shows that mobile web access is helping to reduce the digital divide: 29 percent of African-Americans use the mobile web on an average day. Nineteen percent of all Americans access the mobile web on a typical day, representing 73% growth since December 2007.

I see them every day. The backs of their necks look like a pack of hot dogs, and the wear the ever-present cheap, flashing blue-tooth earpiece. “Woo! Look at me! Got a bluetooth in mah ear!” Ok, idiots. It’s not longer a status symbol.
