Geekdom has gone mainstream, says Forrester

The NY Times describes the bottom line of Forrester’s new report: “what used to be the pursuit of a few has become decidedly mainstream. We’re all gadget geeks now. More people are migrating away from the home and office to use the Web and turning toward their smartphones.” Charles Golvin of Forrester says that for a growing number of Americans, “there is an increasing expectation that all the same services and resources are available to us no matter where we are.”
