Sue Walsh brought up a good point in Gadgetell on Deloitte research that found holiday shoppers are going mobile this year. Walsh wrote, “A new study out by Deloitte has found that more consumers then ever plan to use the web and their cellphones to find those bargains. They surveyed over 10,000 consumers about their holiday shopping plans. The study found that 45% plan to use their cell phones to research prices and 32% will use them to search for discounts. 25% will even go so far as to actually buy gifts on their phones.”
What do you think? Will you shop with your mobile phone? What will you consider buying with it? For you merchants, will you sell items through a mobile platform this year?

As customers increasingly become more mobile with the high penetration of mobile phones, merchants are also now looking for ways to address their mobile needs to keep up with demand. To help with this, there is an e-commerce solution in the mobile payments industry that has vastly better pricing for merchants and a stronger focus on customer support, than PayPal, with more payment options for the consumer. That solution is Obopay. Today we’re celebrating that success with the launch of our new list for Obopay Merchants on Twitter.
At Obopay Merchants on Twitter any small business can quickly and easily jump into the mobile conversation for small businesses and learn best practices from other merchants on how to offer web and mobile payments for their customers or just talk shop.
You can learn more about why Obopay is the best PayPal alternative on the market by visiting Obopay for your Business.

“Breast cancer touches the lives of everyone – whether it is a friend, family member or even a co-worker,” said Cindy Stowe, United States Coordinator, Convoy for a Cure – USA. “In light of October being National Breast Cancer awareness month, we’re thrilled to organize the first ever Convoy for a Cure – USA event, aimed at driving out breast cancer – one truck at a time!”
